Why do I try? I can't win! 3 Attachment(s) Okay, so I'm officially moving out of this apartment on March 17th!!! Since we are living here with Baby, and no dogs are allowed, we are going to steam clean the carpets so I don't get charged for new ones. WELL, just last week I noticed that Miss Precious Princess has started to rip up some carpet underneath the door to my bedroom (see pic 1) because she doesn't like Mommy to leave her! So, I had a smart idea! I'll take the bathroom mat and put it over the little hole in the carpet so she can't get to it. Well, as you can see from the pictures, my little princess has now ripped that up too!! Well, darn, guess I'll have to splurge on a new bathroom ensamble in my new house. PS. I know I'm a bad girl, but I saved the little pieces of beige carpet she ripped up and I'm going to crazy glue it back on! Please, no bad mouthing me from the landlord peanut gallery. Thanks! :D PSS. It probably serves me right! :animal36 |
LOL...sorry...I probably shouldn't be laughing, but couldn't help it. That mat she chewed up...I love it! Guess she loves it more! haha! Hey...be careful when you superglue the carpet, that you don't glue your fingers to the floor!!! Maybe you should try a different type glue? |
BabyFidgette -- I'm not laughing. I really sympathize with you. What a bummer! I sure hope you can get everything repaired. My Yorkie chewed the corner of one of my large area rugs - but I think I can repair this. It was mostly the binding that he pulled away. And - I caught him starting to chew the corner of a chair - got on him quick for that one. I really do keep an eye on my little guy. He's 6 months old now and doesn't chew things nearly as much as he did earlier. And my four-year-old dog has done any damage for years..... When I'm gone - my pup is confined to my large kitchen. He did damage a corner of the drywall trying to get out months ago - but he can't get to that anymore and hasn't done any other damage in the kitchen area. Most of these problems go away when our dogs get older - but it's no fun dealing with "expensive damage" or "hard-to-repair items" when they are young. Now you know why your landlord doesn't allow pets. How many times have I read posts by people who think landlords are unfair - saying - "Really - what in the world could my little Yorkie do???" Believe me, they can do a lot - right? Good luck with your repairs. Carol Jean |
Good luck! Sorry you have to move :( I don't understand why landlords object to our little angels :D They are soooo well behaved :D :D |
Thankou for making me smile this morning! you & your precious yorkie are adorable! |

But mommy I did it cause I looove you :aimeeyork Thankfully moose hasn't gotten an idea like that in her head...yet Here's hopeing the carpet looks like new  |
OKay wanna hear something ghetto? This could fix that little hole. Cut a piece of the carpet from the back of a closet, and glue it down in that hole. I have done that so many times in apts that got small burns in them. I bet a million dollars they will never know! Usually there is a little extra kinda folded under in the closet. Even if there isn't, take a patch from the corner...they will never know!!! Good luck! Ps, I totally sympathize with you. Thor destroyed..I mean TORE UP a carpet at my boyfriends old apt (becuase we didn't crate him one night while we were out) He chewed and ripped a good 3 sq ft of carpet and shredded the under pad. Whew...good thing him and his roommate got into a huge fight...he moved out and I didn't have to pay! :whatraise |
Cali did the same thing in the doorway of my daughters room. but fortunately I own the house. I also put a bathroom over it to cover it and she just rolls it out of the way. Good luck, my area is to big to repair and she got to the padding also. |
My little boy is a year old now and has never chewed up anything, until ... just last night I put on my brand new leather coat my husband got me for Christmas ($300 plus) and went on my merry way. After getting into the store I noticed that he had chewed a big hole on the cuff of the arm. I think my arms are short enough that I can get it fixed by shortening the arm length before hubby finds out. Of course, he loves the little one as much as I do so I'm sure he'll say it was my fault for leaving the jacket down! |
Oh Her is a Bad Girl. but her misses her momma. My neighbors female Yorkie does all that too, eats wooden moldings, carpet, drywall. I feel for ya. |

I think that glueing it down will help...We had to do that once and they knew we had dogs. I also had to patch a part of the wall where she chewed it..never charged me at all! |
