According to the FDA, salmonella is not harmful to dogs. I've been feeding Dozer a raw diet for 3 months now and haven't had 1 problem with it, and before that, I fed my apbt for 2 years and didn't have any problems with food poisioning...

Chicken bones are hazardous to dogs when they're cooked. When they're raw, they don't 'splinter' as easily. That being said, I don't leave bones in the chicken I feed Dozer.

i had never heard of the BARF diet before. it does seem like alot of work. nala is on a not so good food right now purina puppy chow and after all my research this week i decided to start feeding her Natural Balance i don't think i'll have a problem switching her food b/c nala has never been a picky eater, she eats anything and everything she can get a hold of.

That is so good for Nala...you will see that everything will improve (specially on her skin and coat)

I would love to try BARF if i had the time...
