| ear question I am purchasing a puppy and her owner told me that since she had her ears trimmed a few days ago her ears have been down. before that her ears were up. Will they go back up? I wanted to put a picture of my little guy on here also. He is such a little cutie pie. We love him! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | He's VERY cute! How old is he? I would guess that the ears will go back up. I've read that they often start out down and pop up later. But maybe a breeder or longer-term owner can give you a more definitive answer.

| I get comments on Starrs ears alot. I didn't let anyone touch them as a pup. Her ears stand tall and proud. I have heard if you keep them trimmed short it helps them stand. I didn't trim hers till she was 8 mo or so. I would think if they were cared for gently they'd go back up. |

| He's super cute!!! I'm sure if her ears were up young, they will go back.

| hello You could tape them for a day take it down if they aren't back up tape for another day and so on. YOu shouldn't mess with them anymore than you have to til they are up for good. I would suggest keeping them trimmed til they are up. There is one thing I don't understand though..if they were already up trimming them shouldn't of made them drop. hope that helps ya and good luck.. |

| I got my pup at 8 weeks (and his ears were up) - but between then and his 4-month birthday - they went up and down and all over the place. At about four months for no reason - they just went up and stayed up. This is almost a miracle because he has "huge ears." But - believe it or not, I think he has grown into them. Now that he's a little bigger, his ears seem smaller. Thank God!!! Hang in there! Carol Jean |
