Lost Male Yorkie taken from Illinois to New Mexico We have been missing our small male yorkie for a couple of months from Illinois. We have posted signs, even big ones on the main road of our town. We walked many miles trying to find him. Put ads in every paper (we are still running them) That is how we found out about this terrible issue with our pound. We recently found out our dog pound had picked up our young male yorkie in our area (which we went to every week) and put him up for adoption, within a few days. They said they tried to call us on our home phone, which we did not give them (we gave them a cell phone number) and we could not find any evidence of them calling. A women from New Mexico came up and adopted him. We would like to get into contact with this women to see if it is him for sure. We do not want to cause any trouble, if he is in a great home he can stay. We just have had so many sleepless nights, we need to know if he is safe. If anyone know anything, please email twalker@hdsmith.com. Very Sad from Illinois

| The shelter that adopted him out, wont help you or give you any info on where the dog is or with who? That is SO wrong if they wont.

So sorry for you. The pound there sounds fishy to me. Can you go above who ever you talked to there? My thoughts & prayers are with you.

That is horrible. I hope you guys find your baby. That is crazy. But not unbelievable. When Jake had gotten out, I called the pound and the local humane society and the woman on the other end told me that if someone got him I shouldn't count on getting him back because people don't turn in expensive little dogs expecially Yorkies. Hopefully nice people will return him like they did for me....

That must be how the pounds in Illinois work. My daughters friend had a beagle that ran away with the neighbors dog. They searched everywhere including the pound. One day the neighbor called. Their vet had seen his dog at the pound and got it for him and then called him. He then called the neighbors who went right down. Their beagle was gone. They had already given it to someone else. They also refused to give out any info. This is just wrong.

My heart is broken. We even rescued an 8 year old female yorkie (her name is pumpkin). We spent a lot of time and money getting her healthly. I am happy to say she is very healthly and happy...... She plays now and runs the house. And I would not trade her for anything, but it did not take the pain away of losing Bailey. And I hope he is getting the best treatment possible.
