You're very welcome. I show people Tatum's car seat all the time so the word can get spread about the dangers of not restraining your dog. Of course some people look and roll their eyes, some say "aww, how cute" but there are a few that really understand the reality of it all and realize that I'm not just being goofy by putting her in a seat. Sometimes it takes having an accident like I did with Dax to make you really understand just how dangerous a short little jaunt in the car can turn out. I really don't know how to respond to those that say their dogs don't like to be in the seat. Not sure what kind they are using but Tatum just can't possibly find a reason to not be happy in hers. She's right beside me sitting on the console, she can see out the windows and the seat is so plush that it's really comfy for her to lay down and sleep. She absolutely loves it. Keep spreading the word!

| good post. romeo and i were in a major car accident. our car was totalled. he just hopped right out of his lookout carseat. the paramedics were amazed. they said it was a miracle he survived the impact.then i pointed to the carseat. they said they never saw one b4. we need to spread the word on the importance of pet car seats. i wish they were more main stream. |

| Great post!!! We also use the console lookout car seat. Katie loves her seat too. I use a harness type belt for Gracie who weight's 14lbs but, I'm going to get her a look out seat because the harness locks into the seat belt which means Gracie is in the front passager seat not very safe. Thank you for this great thread!

| Worthwhile post. Thanks. Plan on getting a console lookout seat. My only problem is I have four that travel with us. I used to take them with me shopping, but I rarely allow them in the car since I joined YT and read all the warnings. So scary! |

| I got this car seat for Sophie when she was a puppy I was always traveling with her from my house to my boyfriend now dh's house it was at least a 12 mile ride to there. It's the best money I've ever spent. It's a car seat, bed, and suitcase in one, just place in the back seat and attach with seat belt. She loves it and and will jump inside and wait for me to attach the lanyard to her harness. It also gives me peace of mind knowing if God forbid I ever get into an accident I know that my furbaby is safe. I am now planning on purchasing another one for my new pup. http://www.catsplay.com/bci29988.php3

| Great post I have one Yorkie Client that I groom. His owner and I have gone round and round on the importance of a car seat and/or traveling in a carrier....I've also lectured him on allowing Baxter to sit on his lap, while he's driving with the window open. He thought I was cruel to have my dogs strapped into their seats and the show dogs in their traveling crates. Well guess what, day before yesterday he was involved in a car accident....Baxter went flying around in the car.....I got a call from his owner yesterday asking where to order the car seats....

| Lucy has the lookout car seat and she actually is more calm and quiet in it than if I had her in my lap riding as a passenger. I bought the padded harness they mentioned and it works great. I do have one problem though..I travel with her often and rent a car. What does everyone do in the case of a rental car? Great thread!

| Where is the best place to order the lookout seat and the safety harness? Ziggy hates his carrier and would probably like the safety harness.

| Where did you buy the carseat and the padded harness? And what size did you get? I think a padded harness sounds a lot more comfortable than just a regular one, so I am hoping to find one for Piper. |

| I have never thought of the bad outcome.. Kayah always sleeps in my lap while driving.. Actually, she won't have it any other way.. she won't let anybody else hold her.. I have been wanting to get her a car seat.. but how am I supposed to keep her in it?? I have gotten so many things (i.e. stroller) and she will not have it! What was in that link? For me, the page said error
