| Tough Decision I need some advice. Tino is now 2.5 months old. His breeders have just had another litter, do we get a little girl? I work 9-5 currently and Tino goes to my mum's for the day. So if we got a playmate for Tino, would it be better to leave them at home together and go home at lunch time to visit them? Do you think that Tino would show the new pup what to do ie. where they eat, where they pee/poo? I really dont know what to do. Its my birthday in 2 weeks so a puppy would be wonderful but I dont know if its a good idea or not. Any comments? |

| I have a male and a female and really like itt. It is so much fun to have a female. All the prety clothes and bows. I dont know how they do together when they are left a home. I stay home all day,

| Did you have your male or female first? Do you notice a change in the dog once the new pup comes? |

| I had the male first but only by one month and both of mine were pups when I got them so he accepted her easily. I think dogs adjust to newcomers no matter what ttheir age is though

| Im so torn on what to do and if I want one I need to put a deposit down quick as it was only a litter of 4 - 2 boys and 2 girls. Tino's character is so cute and I dont want it to change by bringing another pup in but I also think he'd love it! He'd try mothering her. Although we'd have to get one of them neutured. And also we could leave them at home without feeling bad cos they'd have each other to play with. I just dont know......... |

| I would say do it. I dont think his personality will change and he will have companionship.

| Why not... I purchased Tank for Lucy as a playmate during the day.... I go into work a half an hour early so that I can take an hour lunch to be with them and then my husband gets home at 4:00. I still don't know how well they do together by themselves b/c were waiting till the both have all shots and wormings to leave them alone together..... Lucy likes to eat poop so we need to make sure everyone is 100% till their alone together Crystal

| I started out with a male, and just got our female a few weeks ago. He did not know what to think of her at first. But now they are the best of friends! I stay home all day with them, so I don't know the best advise for leaving them all day! Mine are spoiled rotten! They would probably have a fit if I left them here! LOL Anyway, I would try to keep them confined to an area with pee pads, and food and water. And a nice place to sleep! Also some play toys! I would recommend somewhere without carpet. Since you will have pups, they will have accidents! Good Luck!

| I say go for it. I have 2 girls and it is the best thing that I ever did. Chloe adjusted to Daisy very fast but it is best not to leave them alone until you know that they are getting along fine. I think that you would really enjoy having 2 of them. Also me and my hubby both work and the girls stay at home. We go home for lunch but the rest of the time they are there by themselves and they do fine!
