				 | A List Of Toxic Plants And Foods Here is a list of toxic plants and foods put together by The American Animal Hospital Association. This list was given to me by my vet the first time I brought Gracie in. The following items can cause a wide range of complications from an upset stomach, to liver and kidney disease, to death. These items can affect diffrent species in diffrent ways, but all can potentially affect all animals, dogs, cats, birds, horses, even cattle. Please be advised, this is only a small list, there are thousands of other chemical compounds found in the home that can be fatal to animals (example: antifreeze, rat poison...). There is also a NATIONWIDE POISON CONTROLL HOTLINE provided by the SPCA 1-888-426-4435 it is available 24 hours a day TOXIC PLANTS AND FOODS: Agapanthus Aglaonema Alcohol Aloe Vera Almonds Amaryllis Bulbs Anthurium Apple Seeds Apricot Asparagus Fern Autumn Crocus Avocado Azalea Baby’s Breath Begonia Bird-of-Paradise Bittersweet Bleeding Heart Boxwood Bracken Fern Buckeye Buttercup Black Walnut Caffeine Caladium Calla Lilly Candelabra Cactus Castor bean Cherry Chinese Bamboo Chocolate Choke Cherry Chrysanthemum Cineraria Clematis Creeping Charlie Crocus Bulb Croton Crown of Thorns Coffee Tree Plant Cycads Cyclamen bulb Day Jasmine Delphinium, larkspur Dieffenbachia Dracaena Species Easter Lilly Elderberry Elephant Ears English Ivy Ficus Fiddle-leaf Fig Four-O’clocks Foxglove Garlic Geranium Holly Berries Honeysuckle Hyacinth Hydrangea Hibiscus Iris Corms Jack-in-the-Pulpit Jasmine Jerusalem Cherry Jessamine Jimson weed Kalanchoe Lamb’s Quarters Lantana Lily bulbs Lily-of-the-Valley Lobelia Locoweed Lupine species Marble Queen Marigold Marijuana Milkweed Mistletoe Mock Orange Monkshood Moonseed Morning Glory Mountain Laurel Mother-in-law Tongue Mushrooms Nascissus, daffodil Nephthytis Nettles Nightshades Oak Oleander Onion Oriental Lilly Peach Pencil Plant Periwinkle Philodendron Pine Needle Plumosa Fern Pokeweed Poinsettia Poison Oak, Ivy, Sumac Potato Pothos Primrose Privet Rain Tree Red Emerald Red Maple Rhododendron Rhubard leaves Ribbon Plant Rosary Pea Sago Palm Schefflera Senna Shamrock Snow-on-the-mountain Spathiphyllum (Peace Lily) Spider Plant Spurge Stinging Nettle St. John’s Wort String of Pearls Sweet Pea Swiss Cheese Taro Vine Tomatoes Tulip Tung Oil Tree Vetch, Common, etc. Wisteria Yew

				 | Thanks for the great list. Philadrandrom is one of the worst. Our yorkie got a hold of ours a couple years ago and ate the entire plant. She is now on steriods for the rest of her days. She blew up like a balloon at first. Now we keep this way out of her reach, because she will eat anything. |

				 | I am new to YT and found this list VERY helpful. There were things on there I had no idea were toxic. I have given Luci frozen french fries before , but according to your list, she shouldn't be having potatoes. Guess she won't get any more of those. Thank you for posting this. I agree, it should definitely be a sticky for a quick reference. Thanks again for sharing!
