| Is rawhide safe? I have been reading all of the posts on greenies not being safe! So sad!!! We have never given Lola a greenie but we give her rawhide all the time. Now I am wondering if it is safe. If anyone knows, please let all of us know. Do you give your babies rawhide? Thank you!

| I always used to give Jake my lab raw hide chews and he loved them. He used to swallow it and regurgitate it back up and eat it again. (Gross i know) But i've never given one to Pippa as im too frightened she'll choke.

| I had the same question a while back and everyone said No to Rawhide. They said to give Nylabone instead. So I did. No doubt Daisy loved her Rawhide bones, but I don't give it to her anymore.

| Tigger gets rawhide from time to time. I just make sure he only has it around mommy or daddy just in case anything bad happens. Most of the time he gets a rawhide and a Booda Cornstarch Velvet(they crumble and are fully digestible.) He loves them and will chew on them for hours.

| It's my understanding that rawhide can splinter and cause servere problems. I only give my babies beef or milk-bone with bone marrow in center. I am so afraid that something wont disgest and they will have a problem.

| I give Chachi and Jewels rawhide. Especially the grounded rawhide sticks. I just ttake them away when they are too chewed up.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | We don't give our girls rawhide as it makes it really hard to digest....they do get Better than Ears or real pig ears from time to time...and we have several nylabones to chew on!!!

| I avoid them because it caused constipation for Scooby. They love the nylabones. |

My furkids Donating Member | My Mom used to give her dogs raw hide chews until her little Abbey nearly died in front of her. The chew got stuck in her throat, thank god she ran to my Dad. He had to stick his finger down her throat and pull it out. I used to give Sadie greenies all the time until I read that they are NOT totally digestible and can get lodge in their intestines. I now give her Denta Delicious. They are a very very hard chew that is digestible and takes a long time to break down....very good for their teeth.

| Nylabones are the best, I heard not to give them rawhide, too many problems with it.
