My Mom used to give her dogs raw hide chews until her little Abbey nearly died in front of her. The chew got stuck in her throat, thank god she ran to my Dad. He had to stick his finger down her throat and pull it out.
I used to give Sadie greenies all the time until I read that they are NOT totally digestible and can get lodge in their intestines. I now give her Denta Delicious. They are a very very hard chew that is digestible and takes a long time to break down....very good for their teeth.
