				   | I also believe dogs have emotions. They show you love, happiness, sadness, and so much more. How could they express these without emotions?

				   | I would ask the people who believe that dogs don't have/show emotion if they have a dog... if they have ever had a big sloppy kiss wash away tears if they gave never experienced the pure joy that only a dog can show when you have left your house for five minutes and come back and been greeted like a long lost friend returning after years of absence the contrite look on a dog when he knows he has done wrong yes dogs do have emotions, and show them constantly. |

				   | My babies all have emotions! Gee, can't believe there are people who think dogs are dumb with no sense of feelings. Dogs, exhibit happiness, fear, hunger, thirst, excitement and numerous other emotions.

				   | If you want to read two of the absolutely most wonderful and interesting books you have ever read --- on this very subject -- please get.. 1) When Elephants Weep: The Emotional Life of Animals. 2) Dogs Never Lie About Love : Reflections on the Emotional World of Dogs by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson I have a Master's Degree in English Literature - so you know that I have done a lot of reading. The two above books (I think especially the first one) are among the most enjoyable, informative, and educational I have ever read. They are very well written - very readable - and will evoke a lot of laughter, smiles, and tears. I shared these books with my brother, who was head of the Psychology Department at a major University for more than 20 years -- and he made them required reading for his students (who thoroughly enjoyed them). They are for sale at Amazon.com - and probably most other online books stores as well. Hope those of you who like to read pick them up and share them with your friends. Believe me - if you read these books, you may consider yourself quite well educated on this very subject. Carol Jean |

I've also seen a dog mourn over losing a pet brother. So sad.
