The vet called a little while ago and said that Bowzer was able to go outside, walk around and go potty (both), which is really good. She also said he was able to eat a little bit and that if he had a serious injury to his jaw, he wouldn't be able to eat at all. She was going to anesthesize him tomorrow and x-ray him, but she said we'll hold off for now and see if he continues to improve.

I'm allowed to pick him up at 4:00 and bring him home for some pampering. We've got to keep a close eye on him and bring him back if he doesn't continue to improve, but it looks like he's already making a big turn around!!!

I can't thank you all enough for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. It means the world to me.

Oh, that's great. Reading your first post, I thought there were some good indications there for you. Sounds like he's on the mend. I'm certain his feet won't touch the ground any time soon....cause everyone will be loving on him.

omg...I am so sorry. I really hope that Bowzer gets better. Accident happens around kids all the time. Your 5 year old should not feel guilty.

I'm so glad Bowzer is doing better today. That is really good to hear. Just wanted to say that accidents like this do happen, several years ago my little brother did this same thing to our pet cat. It is definitely an awful thing to have to go through. I'm really sorry and good luck.

Wow, that must have been so traumatice for everyone. Am so glad Bowzer will be alright . . . it would be devastiting especially for your son who is only 5 years old if anything bad happened to him. Am sure the bat is "banned" for life . . . .lots of hugs and kisses and smothering for Bowzer as soon as he comes home
