| You could syringe the water to her. As far as eating my dogs are picky eaters and I had luck giving them Lil caesars. You can find it at the grocery store. Another thing that is good is Gerber baby food meat sticks.

| I had one that wouldn't eat or drink. I gave her pedialite and used a syringe without the needle to force it in her mouth, and then boiled chicken and cooked rice and mixed together and she ate fine. I slowly weaned her back to puppy food and now she is great. Also get some Nutri Cal and give her. |

| Put water on your finger and let it drip on the puppy's nose. This often gets them started - at least they get the water you are giving them this way. And Gerber's Baby Chicken Stix -- When I brought my 8-week old pup home, he thought he'd died and gone to heaven with these. He ate them so fast that I thought he'd throw them up --but he didn't. If your pup loves being on your lap - see if he'll take some food from your mouth. Try holding one of the Chicken Stix - he might decide it tastes good. One of my dogs - I literally put food in his mouth. He'd drop it a few times and then eventually decide that it tasted good and eat it. If you're desperate - put him on the table and share a meal with him. Not a good way to start out - but he has to eat!!!! Good luck! Carol Jean |
