Put water on your finger and let it drip on the puppy's nose. This often gets them started - at least they get the water you are giving them this way.

And Gerber's Baby Chicken Stix -- When I brought my 8-week old pup home, he thought he'd died and gone to heaven with these. He ate them so fast that I thought he'd throw them up --but he didn't.

If your pup loves being on your lap - see if he'll take some food from your mouth. Try holding one of the Chicken Stix - he might decide it tastes good.

One of my dogs - I literally put food in his mouth. He'd drop it a few times and then eventually decide that it tasted good and eat it.

If you're desperate - put him on the table and share a meal with him. Not a good way to start out - but he has to eat!!!!
