| He FINALLY sleeps through the night but............... Ok, before I fess up I know I am going to receive a lot of flack about this one. I have a 6 month old Yorkie. When I brought him home I had him sleep in a crate during the night. Well, he would cry to get out every 2 hours or so and of course I spent my entire night getting up and letting him in and out. One night during a sleep deprived moment I stuck him in the cage with my 1 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd before we went to bed. He slept the ENTIRE evening. My Aussie is absolutely wonderful with him. He is so patient and tolerant of the babies playfulness. I can hear them the entire evening and I do hear when they are playing. But it has worked wonderfully so far. I can actually get some sleep and everyone fairs a lot better this way.

| I think that's sweet. As long as they get along it's fine. Lots of dogs sleep together. If you're getting flack for this I wonder what people would say about the dobermans, boxers, beagles and labs Loki beats up on at daycare. Yes that's right, my 9 pound dog is the bully. The big dogs are so sweet to tolerate him!

| I think dogs that live in the same house must get along. If they did not, I don't think the smaller would make it. I think it is wonderful that they get along and now they can have fun together and not be lonely.

| Dogs are pack animals, so this type of behavior doesn't surprise me at all. So long as the bigger dog is gentle, I think it's adorable.
