| Pantene experience! We used pantene conditioner tonite for the first time. We use the smooth and sleek. It was the shinest her hair has ever been and we have used about everything fr cc system and so on but I had the best experience with pantene tonite. Hayleys hair is shinier, straight ans silkier that ever!!!! Just wanted to let some of ya know in case ya want to try it too. I might add we used cc day to day shampoo

| I used pantene shampoo and conditioner on Muffin for many years, unless she was having spring and fall allergies. I use it on Kacee, too. She doesn't seem to have any problem with itchy skin at all, either. I love the smell and I love the way it makes her hair look and feel.

| I had no idea I could use conditioner. Does it help with the shinyness??? I've been shampooing Mitzi in Johnsons baby shampoo with aloe vera. It makes her soooooo soft. Maybe I'll buy some pantene shampoo and conditioner. |

| Just an FYI. Johnsons baby shampoo will strip your dogs coat. If you are bathing every week I would consider alternating with another shampoo. |

| Interesting! I've used Pantene Smooth and Sleek on ME for four years! LOL. When Sully was in-between dog shampoos, I would use that one on him just by the sake of default! I thought human shampoos weren't ph-balanced for dogs' hair? The funny thing is, I stopped using Pantene for, guess what? Day to Day. LOL.

| I use C&C on Princess, but next bath I'll give Pantene a try, our daughter has some in her bathroom. Thanks for the tip!

| human shampoos have a different pH level and often use harsher detergents than pet shampoos. there are shampoos/conditioners specificially designed for pets. you can end up doing more damage than good by using inappropriate products on your lilttle ones.

| I think it is ok to use human conditioner but not human shampoo if I am correct. I use cc shampoo, the only other shampoo I have used is johnsons baby wash not shampoo. I think I read that human shmpoo has the wrong ph, correct me if I am wrong. The pantene conditioner is what I loved it made Hayleys hair the shiniest ever!!!

| ok, no more johnsons. I cant get dog shampoo here though, so I'm stuffed. What about Dove shampoo? It has about 25% moisturiser cream in it? It's so frustrating. I want to do the best thing for my puppy, but I can't even get the basic essentials here. grrrr!!!! |

| What I meant is that it takes all the natural oils out of your dogs hair and will cause dry hair and skin. You need to use a gentler dog shampoo. Pantene conditioner is fine to use but Johnsons baby shampoo is very harsh on a coat. If you have alot of buildup on your dogs hair from heavy conditioners/dressings it may be necessary to take it down once in awhile but not every week. I use a heavier lanolin based shampoo and conditioner and every month I use a dog stripping shampoo to get it all out but I would never use it every week. |
