| They say you can use it once or twice for fleas, but dont use it regularly because it takes the oil from the dogs skin and causes dandruff and dry skin. |

| I would use the Dawn, but make sure you rinse it out really good. It causes really dry skin.

| The first couple months of my pup's life - he was so oily that I used a dishwashing detergent (Joy) to wash his body to try and cut down the oil. But I used a dog tearless shampoo on his face and head. His hair is not oily anymore - so I just use the dog shampoo. He also needs to be bathed much less often now. I just buy a tearless dog shampoo (can't even tell you the brand) and it works just fine. If he had any special problems, dry skin, etc., I'd have to be more careful about which shampoo I use - but he's just fine....and doesn't appear to need anything special. My way of doing most things is to just go with whatever is the easiest at first - then if you have problems - you have to do something different. Good luck! Carol Jean |

| I use tearless human baby shampoo, seems Dawn would dry the skin too much.

| Schatzie as a pup went with away with my hubby and I on a romantic weekend away. This cabin in the woods we stayed at was infested w/ fleas. After many episodes of crying and freaking out we called our vet. Our vet recommended using Dawn. It worked. We've never been back to the cabin either. The Dawn is safe to use on puppies and adults w/ fleas.
