| Dog Food Asvisor Dear Fellow Dog Lover, I'm pleased to report there have been no dog food recalls issued since September 26, 2019. Euthanasia Drug Discovered in Adulterated Animal Fat The FDA recently discovered an animal euthanasia drug (pentobarbital) in test samples collected at a major supplier of animal fat to the pet food industry. We're unable to locate any information about which pet food brands may have purchased the affected ingredient. For this reason, we recommend all dog and cat owners remain alert to the potential for future recalls related to this news. Click here to read the official FDA Warning Letter sent to the producer. Dog Food Recall Update Some pet foods previously recalled may still be on store shelves... or in your own home. So, if you've missed any of the 11 recalls we've sent since July... be sure to visit our Dog Food Recalls page for full details.10 Best Dog Food Lists Recently Updated Over the last 90 days, The Dog Food Advisor has updated the following best dog food pages: Best Dry Dog Food Best Wet Dog Food Best Puppy Food Best Affordable Dog Food Best Dog Food for Allergies Best Grain-Free Dog Food Best Dog Food Made with Grain Best Dog Food for Sensitive Stomach Best Senior Dog Food Best Dog Food for Weight Loss Click here to see ALL our Best Dog Food lists for January 2020 Please be sure to share this report with other pet owners. | Back in the day when the top canned dog food was Pedigree, and Little Caesar, the cheapie was Ken-L-Ration, Iams and Science Diet was the best dry food, we had no problems with dogs food, no salmonella, no dogs dying from overload of vitamin D. Now with all these dog food companies on the raise, sophisticated technology being used, researching for the best food to give our pups, we have to fear a euthanasia drug may be in our babies food!!!!!! Seems we are going backwards, not forwards in improving the foods our pups need to be healthy. Scares the cr@p outta me.

| That list is made by a human dentists and by ingredients only. He has not made any changes since the heart disease research came out. That food is not only listed on the foods that cause the heart disease issue it has all the ingredients linked to the heart disease issue. The food is just a problem waiting to happen. He also has food rated highly that have been linked to very serious issues like Blue Buffalo that has many many lawsuits against them right now. That site is great for food recalls but that is it. They also trash prescription dog food which has saved millions of dogs lives. He also gets kick backs for certain foods.

| I feed Royal Canin Sensitive digestion small breed. I tried several when I pulled Callie off of the prescription food but no joke Ollie will only eat Royal Canin it’s the weirdest thing. I really like wellness brand food and was actually hoping all four would like that food but Ollie was the hold out. It’s easier for me to have a food they will all eat because I leave some out all day because Callie and Ollie prefer to pick at food.

This Valley Proteins Inc. that's doing the processing is not cooperating with the FDA, not following the FDA guide lines. The company is not recalling what brands this tainted animal fat was in. Recalls are voluntary, this Valley Proteins Inc. sees no need for recalls and this Pentobarbital was going into pet foods since 2018. Hopefully they will be shut down for not adhering to the FDA regulations. We must just hope the brands of food we are feeding our pups, the fat ingredients were not purchased from this Valley Proteins Inc. Something it seems at this point in time we will never know.

The FDA has given this Valley Proteins Inc. 4 notices to comply with FDA regulations. Valley Proteins Inc. skips around / avoids full answers on forms sent to them by the FDA that they have to fill out.

| Cody is a rescue, I started him off on Natural Balance limited ingredients, he ate that for 1 1/2 years, this kid is not a picky eater, for whatever reason he would not eat that anymore. For appox. 4 1/2 years he's been eating Wellness Core grain free, reduced fat for adults, he loves it. In Nov. Cody had to see the vet, I bought in a empty bag of Wellness for vet to see, vet tells me get him off grain free. The concern is that Grain Free Diets may lead to taurine deficiency and that taurine deficiency has been linked to Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) in dogs. Cody weighs 12 Lbs, the small breed brands of regular dog foods the kibble was tiny, to tiny for Cody he was having issues chewing these tiny kibbles . I was moaning to my groomer who breeds and shows miniature Poodles about not being able to find a kibble size the size of the Wellness Core. She brings out a few kibbles of what she feeds her poodles, they were a wee bit smaller but better then the small breed brands I had tried. So I just finished doing a one month lol transition to the new food which is Annamaet 23% protein. The one BIG change in switching him from grain free to regular food is.....he doesn't stink anymore, a day after grooming he would STINK, he pees, poops he is cleaned off with baby wipes, and I clean his pads in case he walks in the pee. I bathe him, the next day he stinks. He is my first boy, my girls never stunk, so I am thinking it's a boy dog thing. 2 weeks into the transition I realize he doesn't stink, as of Jan. 6th he is on the new regular food and no more stink whoopie.......
