| Pet Insurance Hi we are looking at buying pet insurance for Bella now. She'll be 3 years old in April so we think it's time to prepare for the future if anything happens and would be costly. Currently we have put aside some money each month for her medical expenses. I've researched on the Yorkie forum and feedback was from many years ago and have also looked into various pet insurance websites, including Consumers Advocate for the best pet insurance companies in Canada and US. But in today's environment with the Pandemic and all, things may have changed. There's so many choices and we've kind of narrowed down to maybe PetPlan or PetSecure. I'm just curious to hear any feedback from others on the pros and cons of pet insurance. We really appreciate hearing from your experiences in helping us select a good pet plan insurance. Thank you in advance. |

| Sadly, I had to cancel my pet insurance with healthy paws. I paid roughly 53.00 a month for at least weven years with no claims. I made one claim and they jacked the insurance up to 76.80 after one very small claim. Now that I am debt free and have a healthy savings, I've decided to just pay out of pocket for any medical emergencies. Also my vet has a monthly payment plan that I have used before. My cat had to have emergency surgery for a tumor in her ear. The bill was just under 2k. The vet let me pay monthly payments with no INTEREST!!!!!!. Better than putting it on a credit card. | I had healthy paws but it was getting ridiculous with the how much the rates got up for not using it. I have Pets Best now and have been extremely happy with them. I have gotten reimbursed for Penny's allergies and Dixie's hospital stay bot pretty quickly. I did not have insurance for Callie and sadly am still paying off care credit for her.

| I have PetsBest, too. I pay yearly and it's reasonable; they are very quick to respond to questions. |
