| ![]() Piper is definitely in the minority on toys; she simply doesn't "get" them. My neighbor gave her the ONLY toy she'll play with at all, albeit rarely...And you're lookin' at it! |

| ![]() Way too many. I've given up some over the years or thrown away old ones. But I'd say yes still likely in the 85-100 range. They only play with a few of them LOL

| ![]() It seems Dexter is more excited by the possibility of a new toy when I bring in a plastic sack than the actual toy sometimes. There’s something about watching them play with a new toy that makes it so much fun to watch him |

| ![]() Cody's latest craze, I had to buy several. They are like the Zaney balls but smaller and round, it fits perfectly in his mouth, thing is, just his jaws get exersize from chomping on it causing me deafness lol.

| ![]() My Gidget is the same way. I'm wondering if I got her too early for her to have had the experience of playing with toys. Oh, well..... |

| ![]() My Gidget is the same way. I'm wondering if I got her too early for her to have had the experience of playing with toys. Oh, well..... I don't know about Piper's background, but am guessing from her behaviors that she was used for breeding--not a puppy mill, but not a pet either. She is afraid of men, not social with people in general, but loves other little dogs. I tried several kinds of toys, play in different ways and areas, but she seemed a little more freaked than intrigued or interested. So now she is indulged in walks and (expensive) treats; she has an extensive sweater wardrobe and several, several no-choke harnesses. We are ALL GOOOOD! And as always, my little Piper girl is perfect for me![/COLOR] |

| ![]() I adopted Cody when he was 2 1/2 years old. He never had toys with his prev. owner, (I found this out 3 weeks after I had him). Me not knowing what type of toys he liked I bought two of everything. Furry toys that squeaked, latex squeaky things, knotted ropes(my Matese loved ropes) balls of all sizes and shapes. Big toys, small toys. I must say I had a blast buying them and couldn't wait to get home, lay them all out and see what he would pick. Well, he just walked passed them, he didn't even sniff at them. So in the toy box they went. I would take a couple out tease him with it trying to lure him into playing, but he didn't know how to play with toys. I never gave up, what dog doesn't like balls, Cody, that's who. When I found out he never had a toy with his prev. owner (they surrendered him, new baby, no finances) I was more determined to get him to play with toys. It took one year of hours of me teasing him with toys before he actually snatched a toy out of my hand and started kill it. My heart was smiling. Now he's like a little kid when I give him a new toy, he'll play with it for hours, and he doesn't destroy them or rip them up. He loves, loves playing fetch. He now loves balls, his most favorite are these little latex squeaky balls, but only his jaws get exercised lol.

| ![]() Will your yorkie play catch with you? I can throw a toy but, dexter won’t bring it all the way back to me. He will bring it close to let me know he has it. I have to get it from him to throw it again |

| ![]() My first Yorkie, Teddy, was a play machine. He loved to fetch. He had a tire with a bell inside that he loved for me to throw and he would bring it back to me for more play. Well, when he got tired of playing, he would fetch the tire and take it to the back door letting me know he was tired of the game. So cute. |
