Big toys, small toys. I must say I had a blast buying them and couldn't wait to get home, lay them all out and see what he would pick. Well, he just walked passed them, he didn't even sniff at them. So in the toy box they went. I would take a couple out tease him with it trying to lure him into playing, but he didn't know how to play with toys. I never gave up, what dog doesn't like balls, Cody, that's who. When I found out he never had a toy with his prev. owner (they surrendered him, new baby, no finances) I was more determined to get him to play with toys. It took one year of hours of me teasing him with toys before he actually snatched a toy out of my hand and started kill it. My heart was smiling. Now he's like a little kid when I give him a new toy, he'll play with it for hours, and he doesn't destroy them or rip them up. He loves, loves playing fetch. He now loves balls, his most favorite are these little latex squeaky balls, but only his jaws get exercised lol. | I admire and love and respect you ever so much, Matese(Joan). And all the love and care and determination you give Cody; you two are very, very well-matched...meant to be for sure! Plus, you crack me up!! |
