| Fecal When your vet sends a fecal out how long does it normally take? My vet used to take 3-4 days. When I took Dixie’s sample in when she went to the vet almost 2 weeks ago it took until today to get the results! They said it didn’t come in until yesterday. Dixie has giardia and I feel like it taking that long could have possibly put her health at risk. I’m really upset about it. I don’t think it’s as bad as it could be because she has formed normal poo not diarrhea and no blood or anything. She does get gas and seem some bloated to me and seems like she gets very upset at times like maybe her tummy is bothering her. We picked up the med/dewormer and gave her the first dose today. The tech was very apologetic that it took so long. Considering I know how to do a fecal I didn’t get why the lab to so long either. Callie sadly had giardia as a puppy but it was extremely bad not like Dixie.

| Milo's fecal test after his first vet visit came back the next day. He, too had giardia. He was on meds for 5 days. He never had runny poo, or blood in his poo... and the vet said that he most likely came from the breeder with it, since there seemed to be a lot in his stool. He was pretty amazed that he never had any symptoms. He went back to the vet last week (approximately 2 weeks after the 1st visit), they retested, and I never heard back, so I'm assuming the little parasites are gone. The vet said if he still had it, they would do another round. |

| Usually mine is within 24 hours and 48 at most. The only time it takes longer is if they are doing a specific test

| It shouldn't have taken that long. The only time a test took like 7 days was when we sent his poop out to Texas A&M for the extensive fecal that tests for everythinggg. A simple fecal from your vets shouldn't have taken longer than 24-48 hours, IMO.

| They sent it out which I know takes longer but never that long. I’m not sure why they didn’t do it in house because the vet said it was fishy how many times they wormed her. I might ask for them to do it in house for the recheck.
