When your vet sends a fecal out how long does it normally take? My vet used to take 3-4 days. When I took Dixie’s sample in when she went to the vet almost 2 weeks ago it took until today to get the results! They said it didn’t come in until yesterday. Dixie has giardia and I feel like it taking that long could have possibly put her health at risk. I’m really upset about it. I don’t think it’s as bad as it could be because she has formed normal poo not diarrhea and no blood or anything. She does get gas and seem some bloated to me and seems like she gets very upset at times like maybe her tummy is bothering her. We picked up the med/dewormer and gave her the first dose today. The tech was very apologetic that it took so long. Considering I know how to do a fecal I didn’t get why the lab to so long either. Callie sadly had giardia as a puppy but it was extremely bad not like Dixie.
