| Chews So we have been experimenting with new chews. Callie couldn’t handle chews with her IBD toward the last couple of years so they just had the chew toys. They had ox tails today and they really really liked them! They are also liking what they call chips from pork chomps and really most of the pork chomps brand stuff. What chews do your pups like? Always looking for new ideas and recommendations.

| Joey did that as a puppy and I would pull my hand away and put a chew toy in his mouth. He really liked the nylabones with the little nubs on them.

| I’ve never given Jax any kind of “treat” chews (although he does have one of those nylabones with nubs that you mentioned), but I’ve been checking out dental chews. Almost every kind of dental chew I’ve seen says they’re not appropriate for pups under a year or under five pounds. Jax just turned one year on September 12th, and he weighs around five pounds if I time it right (when he just ate and when he hasn’t peed or pooped for a while), so I’ve purchased a few kinds. He really likes Dentalife chews, but they scare me a little. Out of the bag, they’re the consistency of a dry sponge. While he’s enjoying them, though, little pieces come off that are super sticky and gummy. I’m afraid he’s going to choke, and the heimlich won’t dislodge something that sticky from his throat. The pieces are even difficult to get out of his hair. I have a few other kinds to try, but they seem similar in consistency. |

| The Honest Kitchen beams work with Jackson's sensitive tummy - one ingredient, super low fat. Also Earth Animal No-Hide chews (PB flavor).

| I love Honest Kitchen as a company. Callie used to love those beams but my others are a bit weird with fist but now I'm wonder if these might be worth trying again. Joey's tummy got a bit weird for some reason on the no hides.

| Piper loves turkey tendons and she chomps them quickly and they are expensive, but since Piper loves turkey tendons...Anyway, I cut the tendons into 2-3" pieces because I think it's safer for Pipe and tendons go a little further that way. Currently, her favorite are: Unified Natural Pet Treat Turkey Tendon made in USA |
