We go hiking weather permitting. Also dock diving,swimming etc. He has a warm rain coat one sweater . He is a go everywhere kind of guy

Love that!! Piper has no interest in water whatsoever---and we live within a stone's throw of beautiful Lake Geneva!

Lake Geneva is a spring fed lake and therefore never gets warm-warm, but our hot-hot, humid summers bring the lake to very comfortable temps. Lake Geneva is about 27 miles around and there's a path that the public can access and walk entire lake. It's beautiful here--even for my little land-locked pooch!

Awh sounds wonderful. My lake Ontario never gets anywhere near warm. But on hot days we do go in! Usually I take the dogs to Lake Kelso. We can swim and hike and picnic there!

Also there are some parts that are pretty, but being a city gal I am nowhere near them.

In fact right now I am trying to find my dogs winter gear lol 😁

I had two girls that LOVED swimming, lake, ocean, they were in it. I have a big oblong kiddie kiddie pool, they would stay in it for hours if I allowed them. I had 2 that hated water lol, Cody will go in the small round kiddie pool but doesn't stay in it long.
If yorkies are introduced to water / swimming at a early age they may love it.

Penny and Ollie love swimming. Joey will lay down and float around on a float and he is a crazy fast swimmer but he doesn’t enjoy it per say. We won’t know about Dixie until summer.

Piper doesn't mind a bath at all; she loves (trying) to drink the warm 'bath' water. I bought her a lime green life vest that fits her like a glove; I could carry her like a purse when she's in it. But even that doesn't change her opinion of swimming...swimming is for ducks and fish, thank you very much!!
