| Heartgard tablet So Ollie has become the only dog I have ever known to not like the heartgard chew! It doesn’t work to put it in anything either. It was a struggle this morning getting it into him. I was on chewy and I saw the heartgard has an unflavored tablet which got me excited but it’s sold out right now. I can’t find many places that sell it. I’m guessing this is new. Has anyone else come across this or heard about it?

| Heartgard chewables is the only thing Gidget will take. Tried the pills--hiding them in peanut butter. She licks the peanut butter off the pill and leaves the pill untouched. She begs for the chewables. I tear it in half, give that to her and she comes right back begging for the other half. |

| All of Cody's meds I use the Greenie Pill Pocket, I used them when I had my girls as soon as they came out. Before that I went through the cheese, hot dog, peanut butter, hiding it in anything I could, they always managed to eat the food and spit out the capsule or pill. I came to the point I had to force their mouth open and push it down their throat, I always had a chewed up index finger. Those pill pockets were a blessing for me and still are.

| I believe the unflavored tablet ONLY contains ivermectin and nothing else. A lot of IBD dogs take it who have severe food intolerances. It's been sold out for a while from what I could see cuz I looked for Jackson back in 2018 and couldn't hardly find them anywhere either. Jackson takes Interceptor Plus and it's a lot smaller of a chew. It's still a "chew" and overall soft but it's easier to hide in food for sure.

| Thumper takes three pills a day and it was always a struggle to get him to swallow them. At one point I was in absolute tears. I tried peanut butter and he would lick it off the pill and wrapping it in cheese or chicken did nothing. Finally, I bought a package of greenie capsule pill packets. I stick all three pills in there and he loves it. I know the heartguard is a chewable already but would putting it in a pill pocket with a flavor he likes help the situation?

| My Kiche won't eat Heartgard. I break it into pieces and wrap the pieces in cheese and he loves them.

| Piper won't eat the Heart Guard as is...so I slice the Heart Guard chew into thin strips, then wrap in deli-sliced chicken; it's a process, but eventually Piper eats the entire chew. Glad it's only a once-a-month thing! |

| I’m definitely glad it is only once a month too. Luckily he takes Nexgard with no issues otherwise that would be a fun time too lol.
