Gray hairs on young Yorkie
Forgive me for I know little about Yorkies. I'm trying to learn though. Rocky is only 9 months old. He has what appear to me (bit of color blindness) to be gray hairs coming in on his back, a few scattered about. He has them on top of his head but they look more silver or almost bluish. Is this normal.

Yes it's normal, some yorkies lose the black saddle, it turns silver grey or salt and pepper. My pup is 8 years old and his saddle keeps changing colors., now it's a salt and pepper. My 4 girls now passed, 3 had black saddle all their life, one her saddle was a medium grey. It is also normal for a yorkies hair to keep changing tones of grey.

In four years time, his saddle will probably be a lovely blue steel or gray color. Few Yorkies black markings stay black.

One must do the best one can. You may get some marks for a very imperfect answer: you will certainly get none for leaving the question alone. C. S. Lewis

This is good to know, I wasn't aware of this.
All these years I thought I'd ruined Jenna's coat with how I bathed/trimmed her when it started going grey/silver/white.
