| Gray hairs on young Yorkie Forgive me for I know little about Yorkies. I'm trying to learn though. Rocky is only 9 months old. He has what appear to me (bit of color blindness) to be gray hairs coming in on his back, a few scattered about. He has them on top of his head but they look more silver or almost bluish. Is this normal. |

| Yes it's normal, some yorkies lose the black saddle, it turns silver grey or salt and pepper. My pup is 8 years old and his saddle keeps changing colors., now it's a salt and pepper. My 4 girls now passed, 3 had black saddle all their life, one her saddle was a medium grey. It is also normal for a yorkies hair to keep changing tones of grey.

| In four years time, his saddle will probably be a lovely blue steel or gray color. Few Yorkies black markings stay black.

YT Addict | This is good to know, I wasn't aware of this. All these years I thought I'd ruined Jenna's coat with how I bathed/trimmed her when it started going grey/silver/white.
