Yes it's normal, some yorkies lose the black saddle, it turns silver grey or salt and pepper. My pup is 8 years old and his saddle keeps changing colors., now it's a salt and pepper. My 4 girls now passed, 3 had black saddle all their life, one her saddle was a medium grey. It is also normal for a yorkies hair to keep changing tones of grey.
