You and I could not agree more! And CKC? I always, when someone says, "....is registered with CKC..." I ask which one. Ha! It's like when someone tells you they came in 3rd in a Conformation Show.....I learned early to ask how many dogs were in the class (you will often find out 3). Luckily the mill I was talking about is 'off the beaten path', (I know, big surprise right?) and not THAT near us. We have passed it when we head to other Trail Heads of Katy to ride our bicycles. They have a kennel sign out front (I mean, after all they are USDA approved and registered, right? <rolls eyes>) So we googled them, they have a website.....brags on being USDA approved in more than one spot..... I will have to try to remember the name.... As you said, we have been saying for yeeeeeears! These younger people were not raised with animals the way we were. I had, yes, me, I had a LOT of animals as a kid....and my parents made sure that I TOOK GOOD CARE OF THEM. And if it came down to a point that I did not, my parents would threaten to get rid of such animal, as well as punishment for me. We were all RAISED to be responsible for the pets we had.....or else. Trouble followed....and not for the animals....for the kids of our generation. When we raised our kids they were taught to care for and respect animals. My rule was that if you mistreated or teased an animal, you got double that from me....my step sons thought I was kidding. They found out quick I was not. People just don't have that today. And kids, they have phones and pads not skinned knees and bikes and pets.....it's really sad to me. So. They learn, if you don't want an animal anymore, just ditch it. Not punishment or consequences for bad behavior.

We do too. If it is not bad enough how 'active' the coyotes are here (woke us up several times the last two nights in a row), I now, for the last 3 days, have seen 2 very large birds flying over this and the farm across the road. I really think they are Eagles; looking to nest.....oh goody! <sighs> Today we worked out back, reclaiming some of the back yard. We bought 10 acres that the previous owners did not..... Our place sits inside of Farmed Fields all around. I LOVE IT! But. Yes. Like you. Too many other animals to let Katy run off leash. I will let her off after a bike ride. After we unhook our GSD from the Springer, Katy gets out of her Basket (It has a lid that zips so that takes a bit longer) and let the two run around while (we are both right there) put the bikes in the Sun Room. But that is the extent of Katy off leash. She has never been and probably won't, in the back pasture/yard. She was crated today while we mowed and chain sawed and such around the outskirts reclaiming more for yard. We have a pond. Our GSDs LOVE IT! But Katy? I would be scared that something big (snapper turtle) might pull her under! One day, who knows... I MIGHT let her ride in my Kayak with me....but like I said...probably not. Also, that is where the horses are.

Lottery Dreams! Funny that. If I have trouble sleeping, like the wee hours of this morning, I take my mind to....."What if we won the Lottery......" Ha Ha Yes. We play. Lottery tickets in town, 12 miles round trip, makes a GREAT 'destination bicycle ride'. Ha Ha And if I get tired riding, I think about.....Lottery Dreams. (Deron has still not found a job)

Once a year I still send pictures and videos to the grandmother. He was a gift to me from my vet. My vet got him better, he had a Stricture that needed major surgery. My vet performed the surgery at no cost to me. My city boy is a country boy 6 years now and lives the life of a true terrier lol.

| Omg that’s big. I got him from a breeder who informed me of the parents size being 4 and 8 pounds. But I guess he lied. When I went to get him I was just excited to get him and forgot to ask to see the parents. |
