| Redemies for Tracheal Collapse Hello, All - first time post - long time Yorkie lover / owner. Our Yorkie (10 yrs old) has developed a condition that we have diagnosed as "Tracheal Collapse". We've been trying to do research on home remedies. We're hoping that there are over the counter treatments to help ease our little guy's condition. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. |

| Welcome to YT Have you taken your baby to your vet to confirm it's Tracheal Collapse. If there is a treatment your vet will tell you. I would not mess around with any "over the counter" stuff unless the vet advises to do so.

| You need to go to the vet a have it properly diagnosed. It can be mistaken for a a few things other then CT. The vet can also tell you if your dog is in a flare which might just require steroids for a short amount of time. There really are no home remedy's that work or are safer then medical treatment. My moms dog had it pretty decently and was put on hydrocodone and it helped him have almost no episodes. It also helps to not use a collar when they are being walked on the leash and use a harness. Also making sure they are not overweight helps to.

| Hi and welcome to YT! I agree with Joan and Taylor, have your vet check it out. Sometimes Collapsed Trachea can be hard to differentiate from bronchitis or reverse sneezing, and depending on the severity, treatment would be different. Some levels require medication, some don’t. Best to make sure. Taking a video of an episode to the vet to see would be helpful.

| Hello and Welcome to the Forum.....sorry for the reason you came here. While THIS Forum has many Informed Posters, those that have sure helped me understand my first Yorkie puppy, I think they are right in saying, get the Vet to check out your boy. (my Yorkie is CERTAINLY not my first or only dog ;-) |

| Definitely needs to see a vet. There are so many things it could be. Also, no over the counter meds unless vet approved. Good luck!
