| My Puppies Weight Beau weighs 3.2 lbs today at 16 weeks exactly (tomorrow). Do you think he'll remain small, or at least under 5 lbs? |

| They say to double the weight at 14 to 16 weeks and add a 1/2 pound! Just a rough estimate! Pat |

| I've always read/heard double the 12 week weight. I also just recently read that at 4 months they are considered 60% grown, so I suppose you could do the math there, too. Doubling the 12 week weight would put Gracie at about 2.4 lbs. as an adult. (She's 2 lbs. now at 4 months, but at 3 months she was about 1.2 lbs) Figuring it the other way, adding 40% to her current weight, she'd be 2.8 lbs. fully grown, so it's fairly close any way you figure it!

| That would make Bentley and Beau both about 4.5 as adults, calculating the 60% grown, 40% to go theory.

| Not full grown Most yorkies continue to grow to some extent for the full year, going by the pups I have had and a breeder that I know, your pups should be around 5-6 pounds. My Benni was 2 pounds at twelve weeks and he weighs 6.8 pounds now full grown. |

| Yea, I've always heard that yorkies are pretty much full grown around 6 months old too. I guess it makes sense that there are so many yorkies running around that are 9-10lbs, if they grow for that long... |

| Schatzie weighed just a little more than that at 12 weeks, she was the runt. However now she is pushing 8 pounds. During last weekends gettaway, people approaching us to see Schatzie commented on how big she is. I think she's more long than big, kinda long like a weenie dog?? But it really did amaze me that I heard the same comments over and over again from strangers. And all these comments were by people who didn't even own Yorkie's...Strange deal to me really. I only saw one Yorkie that weekend out and about, however he/she was across the street and it was unsafe where we were to try to get over to the Yorkie to say hello. From what I could tell this Yorkie was on the bigger side too. And I sat and watched all the people giving it attention. Yorkie's are such attention getter's in public!!

| My husband says you take the 12 week weight and double it and add 1/2 pound that would make your dog 5 1/2 lbs as an estimate.
