| all dogs are the same That's what my ex gf told me over the phone last night. I had brought up that I needed to go get more Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier food for wee Freya. I told her I paid 20 bucks for a 2.5lb bag. She said that was too much. She wanted me to switch to Iams. I didn't. She basically claimed that they just slap a Yorkie picture on the food and scam people. That all dogs are basically the same. I've been trying to get Freya to gain a little weight and have found that the RC is better than the Science Diet I was using. |

| Some people are just not educated. Tell her to look at the ingredients and compare them.

| One of the things they say is the yorkie one is made for picky Yorkies. Has she been back to the vet to see if she has gained any weight and to schedule a spay?

| She actually broke up with me, over a year and a half ago, said I was too timid. I have social anxiety. It was long distance; we had been together twice already. Her words were, "you're a scared little kitten." Well, I have a puppy that fits my personality lol. Freya is a quiet, somewhat timid baby. |

| She sounds like one that lacks compassion. You got the right idea in taking care of your furbaby, as you see fit. I honestly don't trust Purina brands, which includes Iams, I've researched in good foods that I can cook for her and decent companies of dog food that has the least recalls, just so my furbaby could eat good/well. And as gross as it may sound I always check her feces, for proper consistency, too. I've had past pets on beneful dog food, which is a Purina brand, they lived fairly long but they had health issues and not long after they died, there was recalls. One had 3 surgeries for tumors and eventually died from an internal one, the other developed diabetes and was comatose, had to be put down ;-; It was confirmed to me that it was not a good food (Beneful) when my furbaby had been given one meal of wet-food and had intestinal infection the next day. Good nutrition is important for any species.

| A little dog eats about 4-5 tablespoons of food each day. A large breed dog can consume 4-5 cups of food each day. Please remind your ex that in dog food, quality is much more important when you are trying to get proper nutrition into such a tiny amount of food. The balance of nutrients has to be exact. Close enough at an itsy-bitsy scale isn't close, it's wrong. |
