| X-Pens and Multiple Yorkies Fabian has a 3 x 6-foot pen. We were offered another dog recently and declined for a number of reason no relevant to my question. However, it got me thinking, because there may be another dog someday to which we can't say no. If we were to get another Yorkie some day, would we need a second pen? It seems too close for comfort to have two beds and play areas in that small space. Letting them running loose in the house during the day is not an option. |

| It depends if they get along and stuff. If you put them together you might could just make it bigger. Some people also just put them in a room together and use a baby gate to block the door way.

| We have three, and use a baby gate to confine them to our attached kitchen/great room. They also have access to a bathroom where we place their pee pads. As each new "baby" joined the pack, they were confined to an x-pen within that space, but separated from the others. That confinement usually lasted until 6-8 months (after their neuter). Our poodle, Beau, is a crotchety old man, and would occasionally growl under his breath when our rambunctious Gus would come up to him and want to play. Gus gets right into our faces to offer kisses...to humans and furry ones alike...and Beau does not always appreciate it. Gus remained in his pen when we left the house for long periods until he was just over two. He did not protest being separated, and we felt safer. I am happy to say that they all do well together now, and frequently stay snuggled together in a bed by the garage door waiting for us when we are away.
