| ![]() I was wondering how often do you cycle out toys for your pups. Do you do this seasonally, with wear and tear or when lack of interest develops? I’ve learned Emma likes the same basic toys and balls however I’m learning that she won’t play with them after a few months . I can get the same toy and a different color and it’s like bonkers again . What do you do with the old toys ? I just have her oldies but goodies in a bag for when i do donations. (Of course anything I donate is sanitized prior)

| ![]() Max and Sasha have had the same toys for 4 years and they play with them every day. They actually have a bunch of toys but stick to a core group of about 5. Max plays with them more than Sasha but Sasha is hilarious when she gets a hold of one. Try and take it away and she growls at you like the big bad wolf!

| ![]() Once a month I take toys that Cody doesn't play with much, wash, dry them put them away, then add 2 or 3 new ones. Every so often I'll take a couple I have taken away and put them in his toy box and he'll love them lol.

| ![]() I go through the toy boxes before their birthdays, Christmas, when visitors are coming and when they get to full. Mine have to many toys but I will throw messed up ones away and newer ones, ones to big, and ones that they just don’t like go in a bag and I either give them to family or donate to shelters. We have three toy boxes in the living room one for balls, one for chews and one for soft plush toys. I also have one in my office and the craft room. My parents have one upstairs too. Sometimes if I notice a toy is rough or pieces are getting pulled off I just trash it.

| ![]() Wee Freya hasn't worn anything out in six months! Although she makes the stuffy ones plenty wet! She simply attacks her Halloween Snoopy toy. She has such a light bite! I keep the ones that are too big--I have a Bark Box at the moment, will not be renewing, too big even at the smallest size--and the ones she never picked up on in a container. |

| ![]() Oh, I WISH Fabian would lose interest in toys. He gnaws though about 10 of them a week. I spend every weekend sewing them back shut. They just keep getting flatter and flatter because I won't put the fiberfill back in. We've been slowly replacing them with the ones that are made of fire hose material or other sturdy materials. Even distracting with bully sticks, fetch, and other activities like running and hiking doesn't help. I've seen him "skin" a Kong doggy tennis ball in under 3 minutes! Right now, he has several toys with no faces (he likes eyes and noses) and missing limbs. Santa will be bringing him only replacement toys this year. |
