I go through the toy boxes before their birthdays, Christmas,when visitors are coming and when they get to full. Mine have to many toys but I will throw messed up ones away and newer ones, ones to big, and ones that they just don’t like go in a bag and I either give them to family or donate to shelters. We have three toy boxes in the living room one for balls,one for chews and one for soft plush toys. I also have one in my office and the craft room. My parents have one upstairs too. Sometimes if I notice a toy is rough or pieces are getting pulled off I just trash it.
