| About your new dog going to your husband for protection and snapping at you, I suspect that she was abused by her female owner in the past. The reason I say this is that our Yorkie Bella was comfortable with everyone until my sister (who is a retired nurse, by the way), kept grabbing her tongue to keep Bella from licking her. After that, she was afraid of women and would only be comfortable around men. That happened a few years ago, and she's getting better, but she still has a few memories of that traumatic time. Just give it time, and she will get better.

| Have you tried spraying a little Adaptil on a blanket and holding her in that? Lil Dutch hasn't expressed fear, at least not fear that I recognized. Noticed her vet suggested it for trips to the vet. I bought some some to spray/use in situations where she might become fearful. |

Thank you so much for the information on Penny. She’s so lucky she found you both. Oh, yes, Skye is Daddy’s girl. She is improving some each day. When gently playing the other day, she bit Ruger, oh my. Did not cause any harm but scared the crap out of Ruger. I did scold her, but would never lay a hand on her. I think Ruger took her by surprise and she reacted.
