| Now a Molly potty training question It was snowy and wet here when we got Molly. Figured pee pads till it warmed up would be ok. But she goes out side...plays with Max then comes in and pees on the pad. Good girl but wrong place. If she wakes up we all go outside for a potty break and she goes right away so I know she’s got the idea. Question is would it be less confusing to take away the pee pads all together and make her stay out till she goes...or will it just happen naturally. Took Max a year to finally be officially trained so we know it takes time. With 4 dogs just got lazy with this one and took the easy for us route. |

| I say remove the pads, stay out longer until she goes, lots of praise and high reward when she goes out. May be helpful to revert to the basics with crate training. I know that's challenging with 4 dogs but I think it won't take long for her to get it now that she's older and has examples.

| When ever I had puppies I left the pads down until they were 100% out door trained, they were walked every morning and every night at the same time. My pups were 100% house broken at 7 months old with no accidents in the house. Schedules are very important when housebreaking. Stay outside until she does her business, no playing tell her what you want, pee pee or poo poo.
