See the thread initiated by LilYorkieMomma, "What is the difference between a Parti Yorkie and a Biewer," 17 December 2008. According to the AKC website, Biewers are recognized as "Foundation Stock Service." This means that they may be so recorded, "to allow these purebred breeds to continue to develop while providing them with the security of a reliable and reputable avenue to maintain their records. FSS® breeds are not eligible for AKC registration." The AKC Marketplace has listings for Biewers. See "Find a Puppy: Biewer Terrier." | |

| Short answer a Biewier is not a yorkie but a parti is. It can get more complicated but that honestly is the short main answer. There is also a lot of debate about parti yorkies and the Yorkshire Club of America doesn't recognize them.

| Sweathe32, listing on the AKC marketplace may not make them a great breeder, but it certainly doesn't make them a bad breeder. Here's to hoping you find a great pup. Last edited by KatysMom; 05-03-2018 at 01:39 PM. |

| It was simply a warning. Many people think if they are on that list that they are a reputable great breeder and that’s not true.
