According to the AKC website, Biewers are recognized as "Foundation Stock Service." This means that they may be so recorded, "to allow these purebred breeds to continue to develop while providing them with the security of a reliable and reputable avenue to maintain their records. FSSŪ breeds are not eligible for AKC registration."

The AKC Marketplace has listings for Biewers. See "Find a Puppy: Biewer Terrier."
