| Is TV ruining our Yorkie? I’m no sure if our Yorkie’s behavior is problematic or justfunny, so I would appreciate having some comments. Our love, Meri, is a 4-year old 3-lb. purebred female bornin Sharon, CT. Her coat’s dark colornever lightened as had the coats of our 4 prior Yorkies, but she is beautiful. Recently, she has become somewhat addicted to television. When the TV is off, she will often jump up onthe sofa and stare at the TV, turn and stare at me or my wife, then back to TV,repeating until we notice what she seems to be wanting us to do, so we then turnon the TV and she is happy watching, at least for a while. But we have to very watchful since when any show orcommercial comes on with dogs in it, Meri goes crazy, needs to be taken off thesofa and she then runs to the front of the TV, jumping on her hind legs andbarking at them. When we finally turn the TV off, she wants to be picked upand to look behind the flat screen to see where the dogs have gone. And before she will settle down to go to sleep for the night(on our bed, of course), she has to watch a few minutes of the animated PawPatrol, jumping and barking to let off steam. She then pees (on her designated lined tray), gets her treat (naturally), and then is finally ready for bed. Is this unusual behavior or is she just continuing to trainus? |

| Lol cute and funny, they are so silly and way to cute. My now passed girl loved to watch animal planet, she was very animal friendly any and all animals. She didn't go wild like your baby does when she saw dogs or other animals. Enjoy your silly baby.

| My Yorkies have all had a way of being comfortable with what they come to accept as routine, especially if the stimulation they received during that time was pleasant. If a set of circumstances occurs a few times and they liked it, they quickly come to accept that as a "routine", wanting that set of pleasing circumstances and stimulation to happen over and over during given times each day, very much like we humans. Tibbe is an avid TV watcher too but all 3 of my Yorkies demanded what they came to accept as their "routine" activities. Tibbe loves Animal Planet most of all.

| Television watchers How wonderful that you all have animals that like watching tv especially animal planet. I have never had a dog that would watch with me and I always thought that would be so nice. Especially little Joey who does not have much of an active life with me. It would be so good for him to have this time of enjoyment too with me.

| Every so often on Too Cute (Animal Planet) Piper can see the movement of puppies or kittens she's hearing and will often look around tv. I think your Meri is aptly named and if hearing about her antics make me laugh out loud, I can only imagine how much fun and merriment (sorry, couldn't help myself) she brings you daily...So danged adorable!! |

| Tibbe recognizes whole pictures of animals that show the entire outline of the body moving. He always alerts to those shots. As soon as the image changes to a closer view of the animal or bird, he usually looks away UNLESS there are accompanying animal or bird sounds. As long as he can hear their sounds, he'll usually watch. Sadly at age 10 1/2, he's not able to recognize close-ups of animals unless they are making sound. When I first got Tibbe at age 9 mos., he watched all TV with me, seemed completely fascinated by the idea of it. Haha he sometimes even "talked" back to it. But now it's just animals and birds he watches. He LOVES to watch cats on TV and I record every program about cats I can find for him.

| She sounds like she loves TV. Chewie does, too. A lot. I don't watch tv very much so it shocked the hell out of me the day she dragged the pillow over and tried to plop it on my lap. So did the smile she gave me as she hopped up, yawned and then watched TV with me. Through a binge watch of Game of thrones- six episodes!!! I have pictures with her curled up with my father and step mother, friends, daughter and husband. All by the legs. If the couch or chair can have a foot rest pulled out, chews will hop right on up and be your new best friend. Until the TV is turned off. then she'd like treats and a squeaky toy thrown, please. Except, no animal planet. No dogs. No cats. Recently when my husband tried to give me videos over the phone of her limping (wasn't home obviously) I couldn't see them for some reason. When he got home, she spent the whole time barking at HERSELF on the TV. She's super silly but loves TV All the same. Count your blessings, lol. If the tv is off and Chewie sees herself, she'll go crazy barking. |

| Emma will watch tv with my daughter but just sleeps when I’m watching TV. I think my choice of TV is boring to her. But then again some of the faces she gives my daughter ( like you’re really watching this ?) are an indication that she thinks both of us are odd . I have been known to leave cartoons on for Emma if we are going to be gone a while but that’s on a very rare occasion.

| Haha.. I desperately tried getting my two to watch TV. Animal planet wasn't enticing enough for them. I only found other Youtube videos of Yorkie puppies to garner their attention. But even then, they figure out it's not real and lose attention.
