| Bossy boy Hi all I have a 2 yr old yorkie named Malik...he has a huge personality and is very mischievous. He gives us some good laughs but can be very bossy...the only way I can describe it!! He has a special bark when he wants something...just one special bark pause for 20 seconds then repeat. When I hear it I know he wants me or my husband to do something for him. He will do it when his food bowl is empty or he needs water. I’m not sure if I should respond right away because he is soooo bossy. I do like him telling me he needs food/water but he tries to be bossy in other ways. He will purposely drop his toy and look at it doing his bossy bark wanting to us to pick it up for him...we learned that if we do he just drops it again and repeats the bark. I make him go get it himself but that doesn’t stop him from trying!! He will also shut doors to lock himself in rooms or outside...on purpose!! Then of course he starts his bossy bark. Anyone else have similar issues? Any ideas on how to handle Mr bossy Malik? |

| Welcome to YT, my first morning chuckle lol, Malik is just to smart a lil boy, he wants more attention, locking himself in rooms, sorry but just to cute and funny. I am of no help in resolving your issue, I have always catered to my bossy babies, I never wanted or want to discourage them telling me what they need or want.

| Bella is bossy, but not in the same way. When I'm talking to someone else, she likes to bark and insinuate herself into the conversation. I think she thinks she's a human. |

| This is the first time I've owned a dog other then when I was a kid. I just want to make sure I don't mess it up lol. I always said if I got one it would be a Yorkie. I saw a picture of Malik at 12 weeks and just fell in love. When he was fixed I got him a sister, he likes to boss her around too. I do think it's cute when he is being bossy to my husband lol |

| Now that I'm in more social situations, I find that Piper does that exact thing...! Aggravating, but clever and cute, too (well, for me anyway)! Below: Piper ready to interrupt... |

| Oh my. They sure are bossy. I'm puppy sitting my daughter's 4 lb little girl and she always gives me a hard time. She starts whining at 7 a.m. and wakes me up because she want's to eat then at about 4:30 she starts looking for me and follows me and whines for dinner. Doesn't do this to anyone else. My boy Deuce just throws his toy at me to play. These two are soooo bossy! But I love it!
