Bossy boy Hi all I have a 2 yr old yorkie named Malik...he has a huge personality and is very mischievous. He gives us some good laughs but can be very bossy...the only way I can describe it!! He has a special bark when he wants something...just one special bark pause for 20 seconds then repeat. When I hear it I know he wants me or my husband to do something for him. He will do it when his food bowl is empty or he needs water. I’m not sure if I should respond right away because he is soooo bossy. I do like him telling me he needs food/water but he tries to be bossy in other ways. He will purposely drop his toy and look at it doing his bossy bark wanting to us to pick it up for him...we learned that if we do he just drops it again and repeats the bark. I make him go get it himself but that doesn’t stop him from trying!! He will also shut doors to lock himself in rooms or outside...on purpose!! Then of course he starts his bossy bark. Anyone else have similar issues? Any ideas on how to handle Mr bossy Malik? |
