| New to this forum Hi! I am new to this forum. Have have had 2 Yorkies for 12 years. I lost my oldest Yorkie last year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I still have my other Yorkie and we just got 3 new pups a month ago. The pups are 3 sisters from the same litter. They are 12 weeks old. We are working on everything! They are so sweet, but can be so wild at times. So far the most frustrating thing is not sleeping through the night. Right now they sleep in the same crate, but I want to put them in separate crates. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! |

| Welcome to YT, glad to have you aboard. 3 puppies, OMG lol, you are a brave soul lol, at one time I had purchased 2 8 week old puppies on the same day, what a trip that was lol, but they are so much fun watching them play and enjoying life. I never crated any of my babies, you now have them together for a month , why would you want to separate them, separating them will cause them much stress, they will cry and carry on for one another.

| Wow! Sounds like so much fun going on at your house! I am interested, too, why you want to separate them? If they are bonded siblings that may be tough.

| I thought I should separate them because Emmie can wake the others. I thought it might be better for them to have their own space. I have individual crates in our bedroom, along with the larger one they are using and we have individual ones in the kitchen for when we leave the house. They have not done well being in their individual crates when we leave the house. The last time we left, we put them in an area of the kitchen and put a bed and toys in there and used a playpen to keep them in. They had access to the pee pad area and water. They seemed to do better with that set up. My other 2 Yorkies loved their crates. When they would get afraid or stressed, they ran into he crate. We call it their “room”. I am just trying to figure out what is the best with these fur babies. |

| Creates are great for get away place, just as your older baby uses it. I would not leave these 3 wild Indians alone in one crate while you are gone, separating them is a wise choice. I would not even use a playpen for all 3 when you have to go out, they can get pretty frisky with each other as I am sure you have seen, for safety of all 3 I would keep them in separate crates when you are not at home to watch them. But for sleeping you choose to keep them together when you first got them, to separate them now will cause them all a great deal of stress you will not get a bit of sleep, they all will be crying and whining. Is Emmie one of the puppies or your older baby.

| Congrats. That’s a lot of puppies lol. I can hardly handle one at a time. Most puppies don’t have the bladder to sleep through the night until they are older.
