| Advise on what to put on keepsake blanket for passed dogs My brother and sister in law are having a terrible week.they are pulling life support on her brother tomorrow. Her beloved dogs are having a bad week too. One diagnosed with lymphoma...3-12 months with chemo. The other has a mass in his nose that's possible cancer. Won't eat at all and just had hip replacement surgery earlier this year. They said they didn't know if he could survive another surgery. So I'm going to make one of my minky blankets for her with all her puppies names embroidered on it. They have no kids so her 4 legged kids are it for them. Would you think just the names or name with year born or like a gravesite...year they got the dog/ year it passed? They say this is it that they can't go thru it again. Just this year they spent $20,000 on surgeries for the 2. Money isn't the problem just losing their best friends. Any other idea? Last edited by Cats307; 08-12-2017 at 06:47 PM. |

| If it were me, I'd want the blanket with just the names on it. I wouldn't want to be reminded of their dates of death--it would make me sad. |

If you wanted to add a sentimental note, when my son engraved a memory stone for our beloved Boxer, Boo he engraved her name, a pic of a boxer and the following message: "A dear friend and loyal companion Forever we hold you in our hearts" Here is a link to a pic of Boo's memorial stone -- you could be creative and add something that would be a reminder of the day they lost their beloved... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...memorial-1.jpg | |
