				   | Someone went on vacation and left her yorkie with her brother here in our town. The stinker got out on Saturday and people have seen her but no one can catch her. The owner is still out of town I believe. Someone saw her yesterday and called her name...she came running until she realized she didn't know them. Any suggestions how to catch this little yorkie. She's got to be hungry by now. Thought Max and I would go looking tomorrow and if she saw another dog her size might come to him. Max would I'm sure..heck he leaves with the groomer never looking back at me. If I bring some food she might come to that but with a scared skiddish dog how can she be caught? |

				   | OMG how tragic. I would boil some boneless chicken cutlets, taking Max sounds like a good idea, take a bowl and some water also. Take a large towel. 6 days and no food / water, it's a wonder this dog has not been hit by a car. Poor thing is scared, maybe 6 days with no food she can be coaxed with the chicken and gentle encouraging soft voice . If you can get her near you and she will eat, throw the towel over her and quickly scoop her up, see if you can cover her eyes with the towel, she'll be squirmy so hold her tight. (the towel will prevent you from getting scratched to pieces and an easy method for capturing animals that run) If you're close to home bring her there and have the ppl come to get her. This poor baby must be terrified.

				   | They know where is is at...a farmstead but no one can catch her. I asked the owners about a live trap but they said she's afraid of her kennel so didn't think she would go in. Thought about a group of people but was afraid she would be even more scared...the owner had friends set up a feeding station and she's been eating. I thought about slipping in a tranquizer but she's by a river so that wouldn't work. Could fall in the river. |

				   | Wow. Poor thing!! I can't imagine. Hope someone manages to catch her soon. What about luring her with a lot of yummy food? A trail of chicken? Squeaky toys? Bringing other small dogs to come "play" with her and once she's distracted, catch her?

				   | Last fall she was with another sitter (family even) and she got out. They caught her in a couple days. I think she is clever, gets out then no one can catch her. They need to kennel her so there is no place to run! |

				   | This poor, poor baby has to be just terrorized. This is the biggest reason I leave my baby with no one. In a blink of the eye, they are gone. If that was my baby I would be in those woods camped out calling her name until I found her, if that is where she has been seen and food is being left for her. I pray this baby is found. So very sad.

Animal control and those volunteer groups who catch feral and stray dogs to find them homes are the ones to call when you need a frightened stray dog caught without the owner being present. You likely need someone who does this all the time like our Duck Team 6 in the Dallas area. Maybe you could Google to see if you have anything like them where you live. https://duckteam6.org/ https://twitter.com/DuckTeam6
