| Night screams from knee surgery? Just got woke ...Zoey has had night screams ever since she had knee surgery last summer...she sleeps right beside me up in corner snuggled in ....doesn't do it often probably twice a month..and always in a deep sleep...bloodcurdling scream...no whimpering...she used to want to run away but now goes back to sleep and that's it...can a dog have been so traumatized during her stay to be like this now? Anyone else having this experience?

| Never had this happen after knee surgery. I recently had a problem with my Olivia screaming out of the blue like that. Turned out to be her neck. Have you had a thorough check up at the vet? Perhaps there is a small issue that is pinching a nerve in her neck...might just be that intubating her made it happen at that time so you think that is the cause when it was just exacerbated by the positioning for intubation?? Just a thought...

With a neck/spinal issue a physical exam may not show anything. I just don't know what to say. It would drive me batty. I hope you can get to the bottom of it. I doubt they did anything to her to traumatize her other than just having the surgery ... maybe it just upset her....maybe she is having bad dreams? Who knows...
