My Bell is capable of jumping onto the couch from the back side which is easily over three feet high. And she has even jumped into my arms when I come in after work.. She amazes everyone who see her in action!!

That's SO COOL She jumps into your arms - I can get Cheri to do that too and LOVE catching her ...it makes you feel so loved !

thank you & Good eyes !! I did enter that picture and she won in the Dogster Contest with that 1st shot...she beat out Border Collies hehe !!

DOWN JUMPER CHAMPION


My 5-month-old six pounder can get on anything - but instead of jumping high - he climbs up "like a cat."

He gets on the back of the sofa, crouches down, jumps up at least a foot into the air and sails out over the front of the sofa down onto the carpet. By the time he lands, he has probably sailed 7 or 8 feet.

No matter what he jumps from -- he always jumps up and then down.

And - "NO" - I can't get there in time to stop him. I just hold my breath when I see him taking off. I'm afraid to yell, "No no." This might distract him and then he won't execute his "perfect landing" and certainly would be more apt to hurt himself.

Yes - these little Yorkies are amazing!!!

I seent a yorkie in the traiding paper and it mentioned that the little 2lb. dog can cilmb a chain link fence !

I'm laughing at your post because Scout does the same thing! He can jump vertically very high, but he refuses to go forward with it. Little Pippa who is older, wiser, but much shorter and smaller can leap up onto the couch with no problem...poor Scout looks pitiful on the floor until someone will lift him up onto the couch....sometimes he just jumps and jumps up in the air, but can never get forward to be on the couch...I just don't get it!
