| I can only speak of the one Yorkie I have. At first both of his ears were down, then a couple of months later they were up. In the end, one is up and one flops down 1/2 way. Quite adorable I think. I would say after 1yo is a good time to know. Others who have more experience may chime in. How old is your Yorkie? |

| Keep the hair on the tips of the ears shaved, that helps taking some weight off them. You can also tape them. Hopefully some members can give advise on taping.

| Joey is my first with ears that went up and they are huge. He came to us on diet adult food and then I got him on a puppy food and after a few days they shot up and never when down. I never shaved them or anything but apparently good nutrition plays a roll also.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If you want them to stand, I'd tape them etc... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pup...-stand-up.html

| Leo has had his ears standing since I think around 6-7 weeks if I'm right. Deb (my breeder) would send me pictures of him and at that age he already had his ears standing. I also noticed when I got him, he has the hair on the tips of his ears trimmed also so I think that helps and I think it looks totally cute! Lol I used to have another yorkie, Gucci, and his took longer to stand probably by the time he was like 7 or 8 months they stood. |

| If they are not up by 8 weeks they should have been taped, since most don't go to their new homes till 11-12 weeks if it's important to you to have them standing, go ahead and shave them and they may go up on their own, if not tape them, tons of how-to video on you tube. I have a litte girl all taped up now. |

| Had the groomer trim the tips of his ears and they popped right up. Glad I did it...he's so adorable with those ears and his top knot |

| Loki can make his stand up when he wants but for the most part, they flop. I think he looks adorable this way so I've never tried to make them stand up. The floppy ears seems to suit his personality more. |
