How much food to feed?

Im sorry about your uncle. Hope he feels better. As for decaying animals- yeah as long as its far from your house you should be fine. Just keep an eye on your dog, as there may be other predators near by attracted by the smell. Btw, I know you may already know this but... I recall hearing that big birds of prey like eagles and etc are known to pick up small dogs and then drop them from a really high height-- they do this to animals like turtles. But I assume it would be done to other small animals as a mean of instant kill. Not sure if a vulture would do that as they're mostly scavengers- but I think they're big enough so you never know.

As for the constant recalls.. do companies just hope we won't call them if something major happens? That's kind of off-putting...

Yeah I have the bigger yorkies my older girl is 18 pounds and younger boy is 10 but I don't let him go out alone. The sad thing is if your dog does die and you sue since dogs are still considered property they would only have to pay you what you spent on your dog. I wish we could get a better system it's needed.

The yorkie standard is not to exceed 7 pounds but yorkies were originally bigger and had been bred down. Sometimes you get throw backs or people breed bigger ones. Callie should be a pound lighter but it is what it is. Before I knew the extent of puppy mills I got her from a broker who got his puppies from a puppy mill. She has had lots of issues because of the bad breeding but shes my heart dog and I wouldn't change it for the world she knows when I'm having an anxiety attack or a panic attack and knows when one is coming and wont leave me. I can tell her to do things in a normal voice like I would talk to any other human and she does it. She understands English well. Joey was unwanted and was passed around this persons family several times at 9 weeks so even thinking I would never get a boy I went to meet this woman and she threw him in my arms and he kissed and kissed me she never said goodbye just took the money and put his stuff in my car. He was matted really bad, big thick chunks of eye gunk that was hard and required the vet to completely get off which showed irritation under it and they were feeding him adult diet food! He has no papers and a full tail but I love him. I'm far from perfect so I like to say I take the misfit yorkies After Callie I learned pet insurance is a must especially with Joey since I knew nothing about his breeder or parents.

They're beautiful and yeah i plan on getting pet insurance. My mom didnt het hers i think... But i def think its worth it. How much does pet insurance cost? What does it do? What does it cover?

I really like the down ears but believe thats out of standard. It'd be technically my very first dog that I would personally own. We've had dogs but I always considered them my moms or siblings since i never picked them out.

He also had never been to a vet so it was good I got him because he has vaccine reactions and ended up with separation anxiety so I feel he was meant for me because I will take care of him. I was going home with him as soon as he started kissing me even if something was wrong with him that was the moment he became mine lol. His ears were down when we got him but a little bit less then a week after we got him his ears went up and lots of people have told me its because I got him on better food.

Thanks. I pay $26.00 a month and it doesn't cover regular vet stuff like shots, getting them fixed and dental cleanings. But it will cover everything else that's not preexisting so you want to get it as soon as you get the pup so if later on he gets luxating patella or anything else its not preexisting and they will cover it if he needs surgery or something like that. It also covers emergencies like vaccine reactions and broken legs and stuff. You do have to come up with the money before had and they reimburse you for it.

Reimbursing sounds obnoxious/tedious but I mean I guess its better than waiting random. As for not covering reg. vet stuff that sucks. Maybe ill find one that covers everything and covers it then and there.

There is one I think that does cover regular stuff but your going to pay more. None of the pet insurance company's cover it at the time. Mine has an app for my cell phone and I just take a picture of the vet bill and send it that way. It's easy.

I meant there are none that you don't do the reimbursement thing for. I'm not fully sure maybe it was close to $50 but not sure.

That's not soo bad I guess. Could mean I could take the dog every other month to keep getting it checked. LOL. Idk if it works like that, but that'd be sweet.
