| anesthesia is perfectly safe especially if you get pre surgery blood work.

| How old is your little one? Has she been spayed yet? Because most vets would suggest that they pull out all the baby teeth when they dog needs to be put under anesthesia during the surgery anyway, usually between 6 to 8 months of age. Or is this an adult tooth we're talking about? In which case, are you concerned because of your dog's existing health issues that might be complicated by anesthesia? If your dog is healthy...it shouldn't be a problem.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Was her most recent bloodwork done recently...? If not, then DO get it! Anytime you put an animal under, you should have per-surg bloodwork done. And *always* ask for IV fluids to be given during surgery, at all times.

| When I was in surgery I was surprised how many people opted not to do IV fluids or anything on the little guys! I was happy to see my vet puts in an IV cath even if they are not getting fluids in case there is an emergency.
