Problems getting "naughty" with toys

Matese, leave it to you to have a "good kid" who redirects his anger, thus making sure he is still your perfect little guy. But when reminded of the trouble that bear caused, takes it upon himself to kill it time and time again. I love your controlled, yet zany, household!!!

So my opinion, obviously, is to leave it be.

My previous dog and currently Scottie has attempted to hump my leg and arm. It gets a little embarrassing when he tried in front of the company of friends. so for me, I've told him not to. Personal preference, I guess. But very true that it's not hurting anyone!

This definitely makes sense & was always my thinking with my males dogs. But, my Chihuahua got to the point where the little pink part would come out and get stuck out. He'd get super upset & squeak and try to lick it to get it back in. I'd wet it and help... (gross). The vet said we could use KY Jelly, which worked... ugh! So, I was afraid he'd end up doing it when I wasn't home to help... and he was such a baby I didn't think he'd handle that well. Plus, it was just gross. Haha. So, we did begin to tell him "No" and took the toys he liked when we weren't home. He learned pretty quick

Is there any harm to letting my male hump things now that he has been neutered? He doesn't do it as much now, but still does occasionally.

Yikes! That's a good reason to prevent them from humping. I've read other stories where they had to go to the vet because it got stuck and even the KY Jelly couldn't get it back in! That'd be so terrifying!

Eek. Yea, it was pretty unpleasant & I felt awful for him because he had no clue what was going on . Geez, I can't imagine how upset a pup would be if they had to go to the vet to get it back in. Thank goodness he learned & I think eventually just grew out of the behavior.

I would flip out if that happened to my boy, I would soooo scared of hurting him. I'd have him tucked under my arm and right off to the vet we would go.

It was so strange! But, "mom mode" kicks in and you just figure out how to get the babe comfortable. I'm pretty sure I used water or maybe found some Vaseline and then got the vets recommendation. Boy dogs... haha!
